This workshop is part of Let’s Interface the Music and Dance, a series of films, performances, workshops and performance scores by Christine Ellison that respond to the graphical user interface. A practice research project, the central question is how user interfaces can instruct our experience of time, space and the social. In this workshop, set in the Harris Garden, Reading, participants are invited to interpret commands including Scroll down, Open, Stretch, Rotate and Snap while imagining themselves as objects or icons of the interface.
